Fact Sheet

For those interested: Fact Sheet – Placements 2006 (Log on to www.isb.edu for detailed info)

Record International salary : USD 233,800
Average International salary : USD 120,700

Highest Indian salary : INR 30.34 lakhs
Average Indian salary : INR 11.77 lakhs

As you will read in newspapers tomorrow, the main points on which the entire ISB management and the ISB students focussed were the overall experience (learning & network), the career shifts and entrepreneurial roles. Money is important but it always chases good roles. So those were what many people at ISB were trying to chase.

PS: Laptop is unformatted, which means that i cannot access internet from my studio. Which again means that I cannot blog from there. I guess I will do one more post before I leave ISB.

Hi Vijay,
The dispersed focus of the press release, especially off the salary figures was distinguishable and commendable. It was a welcome change from the way other 'premium' B-Schools in our country blow trumpets about the ir stats! When do you plan to move to Mumbai?
Cheers,

I appreciate tht focus was on the kind of roles ISBites would be gttin rather thn the salaries..However being a more tangible and quantifiable yardstick of recognition one cannot undermine it either..
some observations :
When I have to justify paying a 16 lakh fees for a one yr MBA to my mother (Il b in class of 08 ),I have to highlight the salary aspect (even have to take the ROI and opportunity cost route to explain it 2 her )
when I m dicussing with a colleague and justifying the one yr duration I take the substantial wrk exp vs green horn route .
When I discuss it with some knowdlegeable relative ,i focus on the role and responsibilities and the lateral placements made available.
When I think discuss it with myself ,I justify itz just 5 more months b4 I apply n one more yr till I get in thr...
So whtever b the argument ,ISB is the answer :)

I am amazed by the fact that a good sal has been offered to ISB grads. Congrats to the ones who grabbed it.

But why so much comparison with IIM-C salary. Does anyone realize that was 5 years back, and if that was today it would have been much more. Inflation and yearly salary growth are things we read at school right ?
