the elusive truth?

=your future is hidden in your daily routine - Mike Murdock
=life is defined not by ordinary events, but by extra-ordinary events - black swan
which is the right perspective? Both.
It appears that all we can manage is what we do; what others do comes as a random factor (error term) in our lives.

Hi Vijay,

Long time. How have you been?

Interesting theory - Black Swan. Heard it first time from you, Thanks.

Covey Institute - http://www.franklincovey.com - By any chance is this the link? If not please give me some pointers.

Regards
Debashis

Not fair to comapre a selfhelp rhetoric and an empiricists vituperation on shaky assumtions

Even taleb suggets to plan/predict about chores but warns to be clear about your assumtions when you are dealing with "extremistan"

Thanks for dropping by regularly. Thanks for asking. Doing fine.

Black Swan is a book by Taleb

The URL of covey institute is correct.

You may get to gather a few insights from both the above

All the best
Cheers

Thanks for your comments.

While the statements may be how you describe them, these statements, to me, do not appear to be far from truth.

covey is saying that life is GIGO, which is correct.

taleb is saying that an extra-ordinary event (those that do not happen every time) define our life more than those that happen every time. which again is correct.

they both bring good perspectives.

cheers
