Snooze

7.30 am - a mother is running along with her kids to ensure the kids catch the school bus
8.20 am - another mother is running along with her kids to ensure the kids catch the school bus

Would the mother (as in the first instance) and her kids be walking leisurely if their school bus came at 8.20? and would the mother (as in the second instance) and her kids miss their school bus if it came at 7.30? No is the answer in both cases.

Blame the snooze button on our alarm systems for this running. But what an idea this snooze button is. All night sleep is on the one side and the 10 minute sleep after hitting the snooze button on the other.

PS: JIT is  so very well practised in personal lives. It is however abstruse for many inventory managers.
