Confusion.com

Imagine a typical Hindu life -
so many gods -  who is the God; which gods to worship?
so many holy books - which to read; what to follow?
so many languages - which to speak; what to think in?
so many cultures - what to adapt?
such long history - which is our past; what to relate to?

A clear mind is a prerequisite for excellence. I suspect, confusion about things in general in life has something to do with our lack of excellence in organizational life. Say, our not being able to produce Nobel laureates.

I guess, diversity of any kind stimulates thinking...Probably thats the reason we see tolerance [Whatever is left] in Hindu Faith. By that logic, India, being land of diversities, should have had lot of geniuses! What say?

By reading one view, you might become an expert of THAT view, but for innovation in that field what you need is thinking from all dimensions. So by that logic we have the raw material!

I guess Diversity is good but does not lead to dogged pursuit of niche goals, which is what is required for excellence (also refer to your question about our not having better economists). Sure, we do have raw material; we need to channelize it properly though.
Thank you.
