To Conform or Not to Conform

Life is as much as we want to live.

Amongst the first things that were taught to me was fear, mainly of the God and of the Devil. Out of fear, my mind stopped thinking about all those things that would have made me, am sure, a better person. Then teachers and society started telling me that what everyone around thinks and does is correct; and conforming is the way of life. I obliged. By the time I realized that life is not about what everyone thinks / does, I was long into it.

By some stroke of chance, I chanced upon books. I became a man from a boy by reading, mainly of Russell, Lawrence, and Mill. None of these books, nor these great men taught that I be constrained or contained by what I see around.

Life they said is about questioning. Conforming is not necessarily the way of life.

How have you been?

Very well said. framing the mindset to check the behavioural norms has consumed the real possitive energy and created more than required fear of failure.
