Purpose of god's life

Digg my article

I spend much time brooding over the purpose of life.

We did not after all come to this world to be working for most of our waking hours. To end up hating people who were once ours and dear. One person killing another for money. Wars over things or issues that should have never mattered. Making Kings and Queens of some people. Sucking up to supposed leaders. To die of poverty. To wake and not know what to do.

The purpose never becomes clear because, methinks, fundamentally there was never any purpose. It was an accident. And over period - given our predilection to forming patterns where there was none - we started believing that god created this world for a purpose; and human beings as the centre of this grand purpose of gods.

Now got quite interested in a thought, which saw on twitter - What is the purpose of a god's life (or even the God's life)?

BTW, just finished India After Gandhi by Ramchandra Guha. Also got to meet him at one of the lecture in Mumbai!!! He is damn good orator and is quite witty in his spontaneous remarks. "The history has become more unpredictable than the future" - He remarked on the controvery of Shivaji and Dadoji Kondev!

I am not sure if I had read the reference to his book on your blog. Was an interesting read. Thanks.

Without god's will nothing will happen in this world ,if you beleive god. So, don't bother about God's life. You have to bother about youself. If you want to do good for people, you do. No need to think about others what they are doing and go ahead to your way.

Don't think I wrote about Guha. Haven't read him myself. Have heard of great reviews though.

Trust you are enjoying yourself.

Cheers

Sir i dont knw what is the purpose of GOd's life but i knw the altimate purpose of human life that is "to be happy"
becoz think for a while and notice anybody who is doing anything is doing "to make himself happy" and this thing can be positive or negative depending upon the person.

The purpose of a god's life lies in the purpose of the concept's creation. Both religion and god as concepts have let us down, and it is vital that they be revisited to endorse unities, and reduce division, isolation and violence. As we gain better insights of spaces within and beyond, we should outgrow the ubiquitous yet indefensible god concept. However, for believers, it would be imperative to create acceptance of a wider god, a god that transcends religion. When you ask the purpose of a god's life, I believe the immediate purpose would be to free himself of religion-an unfettered god would serve much better to sustain an inclusive, constructive and tolerant society.
